Clay Semenkovich
Clay F. Semenkovich, MD, is Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, & Lipid Research, the Irene E. and Michael M. Karl Professor of Medicine, and Professor of Cell Biology & Physiology at Washington University in St. Louis. He is internationally recognized for contributions to understanding the interactions between glucose and fatty acid metabolism and how they impact obesity, diabetes, and their complications. Semenkovich has served on many committees for the NIH and American Diabetes Association, and on the editorial boards for several journals. His research, teaching, and clinical accomplishments have been recognized with numerous awards.
